From an empty dashboard to a finished run, step by step.
## 1. Pick the tool On the dashboard, every tool has its own card with a short description. Click the one that matches what you need. If you are not sure, **Website Crawler** (you already know the websites) and **Lead Generator** (you don't) cover most first jobs. ## 2. Fill in the form Each form asks for the least it needs to work. Two things are worth attention: - **Project** — put the campaign in a project if you work for several clients. You can move it later. - **The estimated cost** — shown on the form and updated as you change the settings. It is what the run will cost at most. The **?** button next to the form title opens the help article for that tool without losing what you have typed. ## 3. Start it After you save, the campaign page opens. Press **Run** and the campaign joins the queue. The **Crawl Queue** page shows everything waiting and running across your account. ## 4. While it works - You can close the browser, sign out, or shut the computer down. The run continues on our servers. - The campaign page updates by itself while it is open. - You get a notification (and, depending on the tool, an email) when the run finishes. ## 5. The results Every tool has its own results page with what it found, plus an export. Contacts can be saved into your central **Contact Database**, where they are de-duplicated against everything else you have collected. ## If something goes wrong A failed run is not charged. Open the run on the campaign page: it shows what happened and which sites or pages had a problem. The most common cause is a site that blocks automated visits or an address that no longer exists.
